Energy Efficiency in Buildings

WBCSD Energy Efficiency Amplify 2017-2020
The Energy Efficiency in Buildings Amplify (EEB Amplify) project provides a vehicle for the private sector to engage with local governments to collaborate on ensuring that the right policies, funding mechanisms, capacity building programs, and awareness are in place to maximize market growth of energy-efficient buildings. The program does this by convening stakeholders from across the full building value chain, including local authorities, to analyze the local market barriers and chart a commonly agreed action plan to overcome barriers and unlock investments. How to create a dynamic market for EEB
This WBCSD handbook describes a market-tested, locally-adaptable methodology for collective action to drive energy efficiency in buildings (EEB) at city, regional or national levels. It details how the WBCSD successfully piloted this methodology in 10 locations around the world.
It explains the processes and steps involved and, importantly, how to bring together the many different groups that comprise the buildings sector.

Zero Emissions Cities

WBCSD’s Zero Emissions Cities (ZEC) project creates value for cities and solution providers by stimulating global collaborative action to successfully create zero emissions cities. In this project, a consortium of solution providers collaborates with city officials and local stakeholders to reach zero emissions in cities focusing on smart mobility/logistics, buildings, waste and energy infrastructures.

The ZEC project has demonstrated its proof of concept in three pilot cities: Amsterdam Zuidoost (The Netherlands), Birmingham Smithfield market (UK) and San Diego (USA). More cities will be added in the coming years.
